Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 3, 2026

This policy explains how LBD Software (lbdsoftware.com) handles information when you browse the site, contact us or follow links to other websites. We do not offer reader accounts, on-site purchases or a contact form.

When You Contact Us

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use that correspondence to answer questions, investigate corrections and keep a record of the issue. Please do not send payment details or other sensitive information.

Site Delivery and External Resources

Hosting and security providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser, requested page, referring page and request time to deliver and protect the site. A static website still needs these services to handle visits.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Where product images are shown, they may load from Amazon or another image provider. Your browser connects directly to these providers, which can receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser details. Google's handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy.

Website Analytics

We use Umami to understand site traffic and link clicks. Reports can include pages viewed, referring pages, browser and device type, approximate location and outbound-link events, including the destination URL. Umami's standard web tracker does not use cookies. See the Umami FAQ for details about the service.

Amazon Associates & Third-Party Links

We participate in Amazon Associates and may earn commissions from qualifying purchases through our links. Affiliate links identify our site to the retailer. Amazon may use cookies or similar technologies to attribute a purchase and provide affiliate reports about clicks, purchases and commissions.

Purchases take place on the retailer's website. We do not receive your payment details or shipping address through these links. Retailers and other linked websites handle your information under their own policies, including Amazon's Privacy Notice.

Cookies and Your Choices

Our own pages do not set advertising cookies. Hosting services and third-party websites may use cookies for their own functions. You can manage cookies and third-party requests through your browser settings; blocking external resources may affect fonts or images.

Retention and Privacy Requests

Email correspondence may be retained to respond to you, document a correction or address a related issue. Hosting, email and other service providers also have their own retention practices. To request access to, correction of or deletion of information you have sent us, email hello@lbdsoftware.com. We will assess your request under applicable law and may need to verify it.

Children's Privacy

Our buying guides are intended for adults, including adults choosing devices for children. The site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
