The PowerConf S330 is the speakerphone we leave on the desk between calls, and that is the strongest compliment we can pay it. Four microphones cover a 360° circle up to 3 meters, so a small room or a home office does not have to crowd around a laptop. The 1.75-inch driver and two passive bass radiators give voices more body than the thin laptop speakers we were used to, which made long meetings less tiring to follow.
What makes it the default is the combination of a real speaker and a real microphone in one wired unit. We plugged it in with the included USB-C to USB-A adapter, selected it in the meeting app, and it was ready without a driver. The 360° pickup meant people at the far side of the table could speak at normal volume, and the smart voice enhancement did a good job of keeping our voices even when someone leaned back.
The controls are simple in the way a meeting device should be: a mute button you can find without looking and a wired connection that held through a full day of calls. It is not the mic for the end of a long boardroom table—3 meters is a small-room number, not a whole-floor number—but for a home office or a huddle room it gives you the right amount of coverage.
Pros
- Four-mic 360° pickup for small rooms
- Speaker adds body to voices
- USB-C plug-and-play with USB-A adapter
Cons
- Wired USB only; no battery
We recommend the PowerConf S330 as the default conferencing mic for a home office or small room: four mics, a clear speaker, and a wired connection that just works.
